FEATURES
Our Potable Water EPDM Rubber Sheet is made from a premium EPDM rubber compound designed specifically for applications requiring contact with drinking water.
It has been independently tested and certified by the Australian Water Quality Centre and it meets AS/NZS 4020:2018 – Testing of products for use in contact with drinking water and conforms to the requirements of WSA 109 2021 Table 2.1.
Potable Water EPDM rubber sheet contains all other properties of our EPDM 65 Rubber Sheet including providing high temperature resistance and excellent chemical resistance to both acids and alkalis. It has good physical properties including mechanical strength and has excellent ozone/UV resistance making it weather resistant and suitable for prolonged outdoor use.
This EPDM rubber sheet also exhibits outstanding water resistance and is suitable for prolonged exposure to aquatic environments. It will not deteriorate when submerged in fresh water or sea water and is compatible with hot water and steam.
STANDARDS
Potable Water EPDM conforms to AS/NZS 4020:2018 – Testing of products for use in contact with drinking water and to the requirements of WSA 109 2021 Table 2.1.
APPLICATIONS
Potable Water EPDM rubber sheet has been designed specifically for use in applications requiring the handling and storage of drinking water.
It has been designed primarily for use as a flexible strip, pad, gasket or lining.
These rubber sheets are typically used for sealing, insulating, isolating and protecting steel or other surfaces in applications. They are suitable for long term use in outdoor environments with high UV exposure.
Its properties make it suitable for use in a range of applications including:
