Butyline Lining rubber is a premium grade corrosion resistant 50 Duro rubber lining with a CN bonding layer.
FEATURES
Butyline Lining Rubber is made from a premium bromo-butyl rubber compound and will display high temperature and excellent chemical resistance to both acids and alkalis.
Butyline has good physical properties and will display moderate resistance to wet slurry and fine particle sliding abrasion. It has excellent insulating properties as well as low fluid and gas permeability.
Butyline has excellent ozone/UV resistance making it weather resistant and suitable for outdoor use.
Butyline features a specially formulated Neoprene based CN bonding layer to achieve ultimate adhesion when bonded to steel or rubber surfaces. The CN bonding layer is compatible with a wide range of Neoprene based rubber adhesives and allows for good bond strength to be achieved even in adverse conditions encountered on site.
APPLICATIONS
Butyline Lining Rubber has been designed primarily for use as a corrosion and wear protection lining system.
It is bonded to equipment to protect surfaces from chemical attack and corrosion as well as wet slurry and fine particle abrasion.
It is predominantly used in the Mining, Quarrying and Mineral processing industries, typically on the following equipment:
- Tanks and pipework
- Valves and pumps
- Flotation cells
- Rougher cells
- Thickeners
- Leaching tanks
- Electroplating equipment
- Chemical dosing equipment
- Cooling water systems
- Water and effluent treatment equipment
Butyline can also be used for any application which requires a flexible chemical resistant rubber including:
- Loading/Discharge sock
- Transfer and joining sleeves
- Variety of sealing applications
